Leaving a band behind, Foxx also left musicians behind for his first album (this is the second solo single he released). Instead, he relied on synthesizers and drum machines for a dry, spartan sound. These early synth-based songs date themselves easily to this era. But Foxx, after three albums with Ultravox, does not abandon song structure totally - a memorable melody and hook are here.
The single reached No. 31 in the UK charts. The album Metamatic was also released the same month as the single. The B-side is non-album song "Film One".
My copy of this single was a French issue on Virgin.
